2020 Homestead Vineyard, Pinot Noir
About The Wine
This Pinot Noir comes from the marvelous Homestead Vineyard in the Twenty Mile Bench region of Niagara. This excellent site was planted in 1999 and 2002 with clones 777 and 115. We have chosen to bottle this wine separately to showcase the unique characteristics of this vineyard.
"93 points. It has a pretty, floral note on the nose with earthy underpinnings, red berries, a touch of cassis and a bit more expressive spice. It turns sturdier on the palate with robust and concentrated brambly black raspberries, dark cherries, black currants, savoury spice notes and a long, fresh finish." - Rick VanSickle, Wines In Niagara

About Cloudsley Cellars
Cloudsley is the creation of Adam Lowy. Run out of a converted garage building, but don't let that fool you. The Cloudsley Cellars' wines have resonance and speak to showing terroir in the glass. The Twenty Mile Bench Pinot Noir is a memorable wine that can kick off a deep dive into the world of Niagara Pinot Noirs. A blend of many single vineyards, this is a wine with bright red fruit notes, sour cherries, cranberries and a bit of earthiness, followed by a vibrant palate to match. Simply a delightful production to gift as an entry into an Ontario wine.
